Synopsis

Alabama Steel Magnolias chase and challenge the line where life begins in this tour de force through the heart of IVF healthcare. When Alabama's Supreme Court declares embryos are legally children, reproductive justice journalist and IVF patient Abbey Crain begins a quest to honor the sanctity and personhood of Southern women through art. Reckoning with shame, grief, and marvel, she introduces a community stage for unheard stories of everyday Alabamians.
